Maddy White is a yoga instructor from Toronto, who recently moved to Halifax to be closer to nature, the ocean, and a very good friend. In Toronto she taught full-time, usually teaching around 10-15 classes per week at Octopus Garden Holistic Yoga Centre, Pure Yoga Toronto, SAANA Yoga, Hart House, and private group classes at condos. She’s currently settling into Nova Scotia but hopes to start teaching again here soon!
Maddy’s teaching journey
A few years ago she decided not to do her Masters in Engineering, and to do her yoga teacher training instead. She ended up teaching full time in Toronto and hasn’t looked back since. Maddy enjoys houseplants and bread and lives in a sunny apartment with her partner Stefan.
Maddy has completed lots of yoga trainings (see the list on this page!) and has recently studied anatomy at the University of Toronto while applying to do her Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (which she will hopefully begin in Fall 2020).
Her teaching style focuses on strength and flow - she loves to create intricate vinyasa sequences to build stability while finding rhythm and breath.
