Maddy White is a yoga instructor from Toronto, who moved to Nova Scotia to be closer to nature, the ocean, and a very good friend. She is also a Physiotherapy Resident, and a new mom.

Maddy’s teaching journey

A few years ago she decided not to do her Masters in Engineering, and to do her yoga teacher training instead. In Toronto she taught full-time, usually teaching around 10-15 classes per week at Octopus Garden Holistic Yoga Centre, Pure Yoga Toronto, SAANA Yoga, Hart House, and private group classes at condos. Then she moved to Nova Scotia to be closer to nature and to complete her Physiotherapy Degree. Maddy enjoys houseplants and bread and lives in a sunny farmhouse on the South Shore with her partner Stefan.

Maddy has completed lots of yoga trainings (see the list on this page!) and her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University. She has completed additional physiotherapy training in Pelvic Floor Assessment and Rehabilitation.

Her teaching style focuses on strength and flow - she loves to create intricate vinyasa sequences to build stability while finding rhythm and breath.
